Mold is a fungus. It is a microorganism that is an essential part of decomposing dead organic material. Mold spores are so tiny that they cannot be seen without the aid of a microscope. You must be wondering what causes mold to grow. Mold is all around us and sometimes it is unseen, which is why the human eye cannot always detect the presence of it. By giving it the right condition and the atmosphere, we can make the mold visible, which later helps in the removal of it.
Mold spores are basically, everywhere. A lot of mold spores are inactive and get active because of water or humidity on a surface area. However, mold requires a suitable atmosphere for it to grow and expand, which can be the presence of water and lack of airflow. Without moisture, mold will not grow. Mold needs a source to grow on, which can be wood or fabric, etc. Mold can appear and spread within the first 48-72 hours after a flood or water damage. The quicker you request professional aid, the better will be for you and your property, as mold can emerge and grow extremely quickly.
Every mold infestation is different and the damage it causes can vary greatly. You need to hire licensed, bonded, and insured professionals for mold removal projects. All mold is potentially hazardous to your health, and prolonged exposure to toxic mold can be very dangerous. Some of the symptoms include; unusual respiratory response, chronic coughing, chronic sneezing, irritation of eyes, the nose or throat, skin irritation or unexplained rashes, chronic fatigue, and persistent headaches. if you see or smell mold in your residence or property, or suspect you have a mold infestation based on other indicators (such as physical symptoms), we urge you to contact us immediately for a thorough mold inspection and damage assessment.

Hazardous360 is an amazing company. Our condo building had a basement intruder, a mentally ill and homeless man, who used our basement as his home for two nights, and, because we don’t have a bathroom down there, he soiled the concrete floor, left food garbage and alcohol bottles strewn about, and used a washing machine, which resulted in a thick lining of grease in the washtub. We called Hazard360 late at night. They had a courageous young lady arrive at our building first thing in the morning—Candy, a USMC veteran. I unlocked the door, and she put on our biohazard equipment and respirator, took in some cleaning supplies, and checked out the entire basement. She found the specific areas that had bio waste and other matter. Within thirty minutes, she had the basement cleaned, sanitized, and ready to be used. She hauled out the bio-waste in a red hazard bag and threw out the other garbage, all with a terrific attitude. She advised me not to go in with her because of the risk of drug-related diseases, HIV, hepatitis, COVID, and various bacteria. To her, we were a “minor” engagement. To us, it was major—making sure we had a safe, usable space that was secure from any health risks. Thank you, Candy, and Hazardous360!! You are outstanding. We learned of Hazardous360 from a neighboring police department, who regularly uses them for professional cleaning of crime scenes, suicides, and unattended deaths. Courageous, professional, thorough, and prompt are just a few of the adjectives I would use to describe them.
We used 360 Hazardous for mold removal. The mold was discovered behind spray foam/batt insulation in floor joist cavities in the unfinished basement. The crew sent out were very respectful, quiet, informative, just overall professional. They took the time to tell us at each days end what they did and what was left to do. Always on time. Bottom line is the mold is gone and the OSB sealed. Andrew was our contact person and is easy to talk to and he actually listens. Highly recommended. Big Thanks!
Our customer care team is able to immediately dispatch and respond to your service request. Our teams arrive at your location typically in a matter of hours, not days to assess the situation. Unfortunately, trauma scene cleanup is the responsibility of the property owner. In most cases, homeowners insurance policies will cover the cost of remediation services. However, this is not guaranteed. You need to check with your insurance adjuster to be certain. It’s important to note that insurance companies cannot dictate who you use. We do have experience working directly with insurance companies for our services and can help you with the process.
It is not recommended to try and clean the scene yourself. There is a great deal of state and federal mandates that govern the bio-hazard cleanup industry. State and Federal mandates have been established regulating the collection, handling, and disposal of human bio-hazardous waste. Individuals and companies can face serious penalties for not adhering to these regulations. Personnel conducting hazardous collection and disposal are required to follow specific training and medical mandates set by state and federal agencies.
We are very sensitive to the emotional needs and privacy of our customers. We work in a professional and discreet manner. Upon your request, we can arrive at the scene in an unmarked vehicle and be as discreet as needed. We understand your situation, and we will do everything we can to accommodate you.
No. As long as we have access to the property, if you choose not to be on-site during our cleaning process, we completely understand.
